\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tYour safety and comfort are our top priorities. If you are scheduled to undergo a procedure with sedation or general anesthesia, please read the following instructions carefully. Do Not Eat or Drink for 8 Hours Before Your Surgery<\/h3>

Do not consume any food or liquids\u2014including water, coffee, gum, or mints\u2014for 8 hours prior to your scheduled procedure. This is essential for your safety during anesthesia. Failure to follow this rule may require us to reschedule your appointment.<\/strong><\/p>

Medications<\/h3>
  • Take only the medications approved by our office or your physician with a small sip of water.<\/li>
  • If you take medications for high blood pressure, diabetes, or another medical condition, please discuss this with us in advance.<\/li>
  • If you’re on blood thinners (such as aspirin, Plavix, or Coumadin), make sure we\u2019ve given specific instructions regarding when or if to stop them.<\/li><\/ul>

    Arrange for a Responsible Adult to Drive You Home<\/h3>

    You must not drive yourself home after receiving anesthesia. A responsible adult must accompany you to your appointment, stay in the office during the procedure, and drive you home afterward. We recommend having someone stay with you for several hours post-op.<\/p>

    Clothing and Personal Items<\/h3>
    • Wear loose, comfortable clothing with short sleeves.<\/li>
    • Do not wear contact lenses, makeup, nail polish, jewelry, or heavy perfumes on the day of surgery.<\/li><\/ul>

      Illness or Changes in Health<\/h3>

      If you develop a cold, sore throat, fever, or upset stomach within 48 hours of your appointment\u2014or if there\u2019s any change in your health or medications\u2014please contact our office. We may need to reschedule your procedure for your safety.<\/p>

      Smoking and Alcohol<\/h3>

      Avoid smoking and alcohol for at least 24 hours before and after surgery, as both can interfere with healing and the effects of anesthesia.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
